§ 01 — How we shoot

01 / 09

A Gujarati wedding is not one event. It is a haldi at eleven, a mandap muhurt at dawn, a vanarasham at the gate and a vidaai nobody is ready for.We shoot all of it as one film.

Two cameras on the rituals, one on the family. The gimbal comes out for the entry and the jaimala and goes away again for the pheras — a tripod holds a moment better than a move does. We stay out of the mandap and still get the frame.

You get a teaser while the function is still being talked about, the highlight film after the edit is properly done, and every photograph that was worth keeping. Nothing is held back for a package upgrade.

Every function,
one unit.

Film and photography come from the same team on the same day — no coordinating between two vendors who have never met. Book the wedding and the functions around it come with it, or book a single evening on its own.

Raj Kuvariya owns the studio and shoots the films. The same photographers work the functions every season — the people credited on the posts are the people who turn up on the day. Capture and post both stay in the unit; the edit bay in Junagadh, Gujarat turns each function around.
